About

Everyone has a story worth sharing.

Hello! I’m Tori

Registered Clinical Counsellor

I have always been fascinated by the stories that are our lives. I not only believe that we are all capable of change, deserving of love, and require connection, but also that we all need help and support at different times in our lives for different reasons. How that plays out, who shows up, what challenges us, and the wins along the way are the story.

I am a proud mom and stepmom, a wife, a sister, and a daughter to my late parents who left this world too soon. I grew up in the Westshore of Southern Vancouver Island, and wouldn’t’ change that for anything – it’s a big part of my story.

The story behind Novella

It’s an ode to my late dad who drove a Chevy Nova. My love of cars and deep connection to the culture in the Westshore comes from my dad – a mechanic and dragracer at the ‘now developed’ Western Speedway. The play on the word Nova to Novella invites the idea of storytelling and its role in our lives. It speaks to the power of connection and awareness that one can experience when sharing their story in a safe, inviting and inclusive space with someone who desires to deeply listen.

My Approach

I come with a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving, solution-finding, and adaptation that supports a very client-centered processThere are many ways to explore where we came from, acknowledge where we are currently at, and get to where we want to go. I like to offer tools, strategies, approaches, therapies and resources, that allow you to move forward with what works for you.

Are you ready to start your journey?
